Finance Director

Linum Consult’s client is a large international company specialising in power generation. They are urgently seeking a Finance Director to join their team in Senegal.


Responsibilities
• Ensuring effective company performance and full compliance with internal and external financial rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and internal control frameworks
• Managing and coordinating the delivery of the financial strategy and goals of the business in Senegal, including target setting, governance, accounting, budgeting, cash forecasting, treasury, audit and reporting
• Supporting contracting activities and the refinancing in the context of a conversion project
• Ensuring the debt compliance for the external loan currently in place and the new loan when drawn
• Ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting and standards compliance
• Managing ongoing relationships internally and externally, including lenders, tax authorities, banks, and auditors


Profile
• Bachelor’s degree qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
• At least 10 years’ experience in financial and accounting within an international business environment
• Knowledge of SAP (or similar ERP tool) is essential
• IFRS expertise is a must, with any post-graduate qualification such as ACA, CIMA, ACCA, CFA an advantage
• Excellent analytical skills, with strong expertise in financial analysis, budgeting, and strategic planning systems/processes. Financial modelling experience would be preferred
• Ideally have experience in debt compliance
• Strong presentation, communication and teamwork skills in fluent English
• Currently living and working in Senegal, with strong experience in the Africa region
